Jim Luckey

President, Franklin Historical Society
Member, Franklin Noon Lions Club

My wife Marian and I have lived in Franklin since 1974 and have watched our city grow in many ways. I have been involved with several volunteer organizations and active in the community. I have learned to continue this growth in Franklin. Our Milwaukee County Supervisor must work closely with our city leaders and their staff. This has not recently been happening. We need new leadership.
Donald Schwartz is running for County Supervisor for District 9 on April 5, 2022. The district includes the western portion of Franklin, all of the Village of Hales Corners, the western part of Greenfield, and a small part of Milwaukee.
Don is most experienced in public service. His involvement in community services is where I got to know Don and work with him. Franklin needs a man like Don to see to it that Franklin is properly represented on the Milwaukee County Board.

Alderman Mike Barber

As an Alderman in Franklin, I know Don Schwartz as being an energetic, caring and deeply committed person to the Community he serves. As a Lion member, I know of Don’s active concern about many aspects of the Communities we live in. I know he will bring these attributes to the County Board as a Supervisor. That is why he has my full support and endorsement for his election as the 9th District County Supervisor.

Frank Pum

37 year resident of Hales Corners

I first met Don Schwartz in 2010 when joining the Hales Corners Chamber of Commerce. Don was the president of the organization at that time and was able to grow its membership dramatically while at the reins. His personal qualities of hard work & organizational skills were responsible for the success of the chamber and his numerous contacts with community leaders were evident. “Community Service Minded” is how I would describe Don Schwartz.

Patrick McGlinn

Vice Chairman, Community Development Authority, Village of Hales Corners

Don has a unique skill of building private-public partnerships. He is a natural leader and
an open-minded problem solver. He seeks to find a balance between both public and
private views and is experienced in making connections between the two to reach an
optimal outcome. The background he has developed in his public roles blends both a
civic-minded greater good idea with an understanding of how the private sector can
benefit from getting involved to make it happen.

What I enjoy in a candidate is honesty, the ability to listen, a track record of getting things done, a strong work ethic, being well-connected, and being a giver of his time. Now for those that genuinely know Don know, I just described him. He is an outstanding man. Vote Don Schwartz in the election on April 5, 2022, for Milwaukee County District 9. You won’t be disappointed, and in fact, I bet he will exceed your expectations!

Robert O’Connor

President, Jetz Convenience Centers

My name is Robert O‘Connor and I am the president of Jetz Convenience Centers which is headquartered in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Jetz has been a member of the Hales Corners business community since 1997. Don Schwartz serves as a trustee for Hales Corners and because we have been headquartered in that community for over two decades, I have come to know him quite well. What I can say about Don is he is a very spirited, dedicated and impassioned person. When Don commits to a project, he is relentless in his pursuit of a complete and favorable conclusion.

I first came to know Don Schwartz as he revived and resuscitated a defunct Hales Corners Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is now an effective and thriving member of the Hales Corners business community. Don is committed to social service and has been a tremendous steward and advocate for the community of Hales Corners. Through his dedication and selfless contributions, the Hales Corners park, pool and Alyson Dudek International Ice Rink have become unique and beloved community icons. Through his position as trustee, Don has been very helpful working with other community leaders to bring forth a very supportive and proactive business climate.

Colleen & Cornelio Resendiz

My husband and I support Don Schwartz in his bid for re-election to the Hales Corners Village Board. We have known Don since we moved to Hales Corners 10 years ago. It was through his encouragement that we got involved with community organizations such as the Hales Corners Chamber of Commerce and Friends of the Hales Corners Park and Pool. Don is committed to maintaining the quality of life we enjoy in the Village of Hales Corners. His enthusiasm and leadership is evident, from his service as a Trustee, to the Veteran’s Memorial, to the Hales Corners Pool and to keeping residents abreast of developments and advocating on our behalf. We encourage other residents to support our Village and vote for Don on April 2nd.

Nicholas C. Zales

I am excited to endorse Don Schwartz for County Supervisor. In the 40 years I have known him he has always been a leader. He has a real passion for public service. He does not care if you are a Democrat or Republican, he wants to know how he can help you make your community a better place to live. While others stand around talking, Don takes action. I have seen him revitalize the Hales Corners Chamber of Commerce, save the Hales Corners pool, create and lead the Friends group, work to create an ice skating rink, and strongly support the Veterans Memorial in Hales Corners Park. Don gets things done.
Don Schwartz has a demonstrated record of excellence in public service. He was elected a Hales Corners Village Board Trustee and was re-elected seven times. When people ask for help with public services, he responds and works with them until the problem is solved. That is what we need on the County Board. Not someone who talks a lot and does not even respond to our inquiries.
Don is a fiscal conservative. A good thing. He also realizes that public services cost money. To that end, he has long promoted private- public partnerships to fund needed projects out of reach for government alone. The end result is a win for everyone. Lower taxes for us and the beneficial public services we need. I hope you can join me in promoting Don onto the County Board where I know he will serve us well.
